Okay, okay I know I've been waaaay t0o quiet lately. But hey, you're getting the top 3 all in one go! Nashoda was always going to make my list, because since I sucked it up and read Torn from You I've been obsessed with her. I've always had an aversion to Dark Romances, and well Nash pretty much popped that cherry. I don't know what it was that made me pick it up, but I gave it a try and soon found I just could not put it down. Torn from You is one hell of an emotional rollercoaster. By the end of it I felt wrecked, happy and a lot of other things. It's definitely a book that stuck out for me this year, and Nashoda is absolutely an author you want to take notice of. I broke another of my rules, and picked up the novella With You, which I'm sooo grateful for. Without it I don't think I would have understood Logan at all, and it really adds that extra dimenion to their relationship. Of course I wrote one of my in depth reviews, which can be found on the Reviews page HERE, as well as Goodreads. Now if you've missed the awesomeness of the Tear Asunder series, then fear not minions for I have the intriguing cover and synopsis below, with buy links! Love is like an avalanche. It hits hard, fast and without mercy. At least it did for me when Sculpt, the lead singer of the rock band Tear Asunder knocked me off my feet. Literally, because he’s also a fighter, illegally of course, and he taught me how to fight. He also taught me how to love and I fell hard for him. I mean the guy could do sweet, when he wasn't doing bossy, and I like sweet. Then it all shattered. Kidnapped. Starved. Beaten. I was alone and fighting to survive. When I heard Sculpt's voice, I thought he was there to save me. I was wrong. (It is highly recommended to read "With You" the novella first). *Warning: This book contains some disturbing situations, strong language and sexual content. Over 18 years.* Amazon UK | Amazon US | B&N |

Of course I have some hoghlights from my review, with my reactions to this novel GIF style! "My thoughts were so far from the truth I seriously think I need a bitch slap, Nashoda weaves a tale of the unimaginable becoming the extraordinary. It's definitely a unique love story, with gut wrenching trials and tribulations." "Nashoda ensnares you from page one, you find yourself holding your breath as you turn the page, all your muscles tense up as difficult to witness scenes come up and you find your voice a little hoarse towards the end from all the screaming done in anger, frustration and joy." "While twisted and in quite a few scenes extreme, there was a raw and intense emotion emanating from Sculpt where Emily was concerned. That emotion has you balanced on a precipice, and with each chapter you never know which way the winds going to blow, you either hate him and most likely dislike the book OR you like him and most likely love the book." "Nashoda is definitely an author to keep an eye out for, and I can't wait to see what she gives us next. Her writing style flows effortlessly, keeping an even steady rhythm as the book progresses and everything's built up with just the right amount of emotion." |
