Lena's not willing to take any crap from the sexy rocker and is determined to keep their relationship completely professional, despite their sizzling chemistry. But when Jimmy pushes her too far and Lena leaves, he realizes that he may just have lost the best thing that ever happened to him.
“Every part of me wanted him, I yearned for him on the cellular level. There could be no escaping emotions of this magnitude. His good and bad, dark and light, his nice parts and his nasty. Everything he was, I loved, and it left me feeling utterly helpless.”
“Don’t hate me, Lena,” he whispered. “You want to be mad at me when I do dumb things, that’s fine. But don’t ever hate me. I couldn’t take that, not from you.”
My rating therefore stands at 4 rocktastic stars! A definite recommend, well I recommend them all really. Kylie is an amazing author, and not only do I enjoy her writing style, but her sense of humor is brilliant. While I'm a lover of Rocker Romances, there's something to be said when the darker side of fame is explored. It adds a certain richness to the novel, provides meaningful insight and illustrates great character development. A book that can make you stop and think as well as enjoy it from start to finish, is a book you do not want to pass up minions.
